Envie Pocket Card

Are you ready for another cute project you can make with a plain envelope?  Then, be sure to try this easy pocket card!

I used a 5 3/4" x 4 3/8" envelope, sealed it then trimmed 1/8" off the end.   I punched that same end with half of a circle punch so the layered piece of cardstock could easily be pulled out.   I crimped the envelope to make it smaller so that it would fit inside the same size envelope.

Then, decorate anyway you'd like.  Have fun!

Envie Basket

I had my *Envie Class* last night and it was so much fun!  There are so many beautiful things you can create with a simple envelope, who knew!?!  Over the next few days, I will share some of the different projects we made.

Today, I am sharing the *Envie Basket*.  We made this project with Stampin' Up!'s Crumb Cake envelope #107297.  The feel/look of this was inspired by a card made by Becky @ Inking Idaho.  You can view her card here:  http://inkingidaho.blogspot.com/2012/04/crumb-cake-embossingsounds-yummy.html

Wondering how to make this?  Here we go!

You will seal the envelope closed then punch either side with the Large Tag Punch #119876.

Then, you will cut up, on both sides, following the punched part to create the *handle*.  You will notice I crimped the *handle* with the Crimper #101618 and the *basket* was run through the Big Shot #113439 with the Vintage Wallpaper Folder #120175.  From there you can decorate it any way you'd like!  You can also use any size envelope you want.

Here's how to make the flower.  Not sure if it's the same way Becky made hers but this is what I did.

I punched  2 ~ 1 3/4" Scallop Punch #119854 (I stacked them & cut @ each indent almost to the center to make *petals*) and 1 Blossom Punch #125603 in Pool Party cardstock.  The leaves are from the Blossom Punch also in Lucky Limeade.  The center of the flower is from the Mixed Bunch stamp set w #125535 c #125537 with a Basic Rhinestone #119246 in the center.

Then, you will scrunch up all of the pieces except for the center.

Open them up and glue together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue #110755.

I placed an Oatmeal Pie inside the basket because that's what I had on hand but you can fill it with whatever you want.  Have Fun!

You can see Stampin' Up!'s Retired Stamp Set list Here.

This year Stampin' Up! is really cleaning house! I've gone through the retired list and marked my catalog with all of the retiring stamp sets and there aren't very many left!
To me, this means the upcoming catalog (June 1st)
will be full of *New* stamp sets.
I am SOOOO excited, I can't wait!

Yippee, I only had 14 stamp sets on the retired list!
Bring on the new stuff!

Retiring stamp sets are available through May 31st or *while supplies last*, so don't miss out, shop Here today!

Boo Hoo!  This stamp set *Have a Seat*  W #116696 C #120447is one of my favorites and it's being retired.  So is the other set used on this card *Three Little Words* W #113254 .
I know, there will be new favorites to take it's place, in the new catalog coming June 1st!

It might be hard to tell but I used the *Shadow Blocking Technique* on this card.  This technique is soooo easy!  Choose an acrylic block, ink it up and stamp!

I used Stampin' Up!'s *D* acrylic block and inked it up with the Baja Breeze Classic Stampin' Pad.  I stamped off on a piece of scratch paper then on to Whisper White card stock, to get a lighter image of the block.  Then, I stamped the bench in Early Espresso.  I then layered that onto Early Espresso.  I punched a strip of Early Espresso from the Lace Ribbon Border Punch, folded it but not exactly in half, so that it looked like 2 layers of the punch.  Attached it to the back with Sticky Strip and then attached that to a card base of Crumb Cake with Dimensionals.  Of course I had to add a *little* bling with the flower punch and rhinestone, both from Stampin' Up!

Our Day Before Easter

The day before Easter is usually a busy day for us.  We go to the Easter Egg~stravaganza in Surprise, AZ.  The girls always have a fun time collecting candy and eggs but, as usual, it's very hot and I got my first sunburn of the year.

The rest of the day we are baking and coloring eggs.

I'm so glad I didn't have to go to the store for anything today!  I know it's a crazy madhouse the day before a holiday at any grocery store.  So, I did all my shopping yesterday, yippee for me!

Hope your day was as fun~filled as ours!

Wow, time sure flies!  It's been over a week since my last post and I'm going to share a few of the things that happened during that time.

Here we are (Keri, Shaylin & Keara), set up for the Crop Girls Craft Fair, before people started to show up.  It was a fun day for me!  (my girls were *bored*, just like I told them they would be :o) but they lived)

Muffin went to the groomers and got all prettied up for Easter.  Here's her *before* shot.

And, *after* shot.

Teacher gifts for *Easter*, Sweet & Korny Carmel Corn and Marshmallow Yummies.

Spring blocks made with Stampin' Up! cardstock, punches and Serif Essentials Alphabet for the Big Shot.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a Sweet & Korny Day!
